Gang Related Violence - Milton Keynes

Our client challenge and requirement:

We were briefed by Milton Keynes Police on a gang-related violence incident which had occurred in the Milton Keynes area, involving a group of males with samurai swords.

We already had two cameras positioned in this particular area by the retail shops, as lots of anti-social behaviour and gang related and general violence had been occuring with regularity in this location over a number of years. Our client Bletchley & Fenny Stratford Parish Council requested our services in order to reduce these incidents and to gather evidence the Police could use to prosecute offenders.

Our process and service solution provision:

Crimewave specialist surveillance team reviewed our cameras in the vicinity of this incident, and were able to track this violent fight in action, including clear identification and evidence of the individuals involved.

Outcome and client benefit:

From our findings and evidence, we were able to compile a detailed evidence based pack and safely transfer this to our Police Force partners.

Crimewave are highly adept at compiling robust evidence packs including high definition image footage, signed S.9 witness statements detailing the technical specification of cameras recording all footage and displaying clear time and dates, and exhibit labels to support all evidence. Our expert team will also appear as witnesses in court if required to secure prosectutions.

All individuals in this gang-related incident were successfully identified and arrested. From these cameras we have had 26 arrests and 14 prosecutions in total. The overall crime rate in this location has dropped by 82%.
